PLEASE NOTE: It can be difficult enough for kids and adults alike to be natural and relaxed around a photographer they've just met, but nearly impossible when they are being watched! Please...only individuals being photographed should attend the session. I want your images to be the best they can possibly be so thank you for understanding in this matter.
How long will it take? A typical shoot takes roughly 1 to 2 hours. Newborns can take up to 4 hours depending on time needed for feeding and changing breaks. I take whatever time is necessary to get a quality set of proofs so please be prepared for the longer shoot times.
What about changing outfits? Sure, bring as many as you want! Generally, plain, solid colors work best but feel free to choose whatever outfits you'd like.
Where do you take the outdoor shots? Sometimes, right in my backyard! Other times, at parks or other locations at the client's request. It is your decision. (More than 20 miles from the studio, or more than 10 miles for a mini session, may involve a travel fee.)
What time of day is best? Early morning or late afternoon are the best times for outdoor shoots on sunny days. If we are lucky enough to get an overcast day, have plenty of open shade, or you want studio only, then anytime will work just fine.
How and when do you deliver proofs? I provide for online proofing only. You will be given a link that gets you to your proofing gallery, usually within 10 days of your session. Feel free to share this link with anyone you wish. Once you receive your proofing link, proofs will be remain active for 14 days. Please order within this time to avoid reloading fees.
How long do prints take? I order your prints once I receive payment in full. In most cases, your print order will be ready for pick-up within 2 weeks of payment.
